The Center for Civic Participation
When National Voice evolved into The Center for Civic Participation (CCP) after the 2004 presidential elections they asked us to develop a new logo and a set of identity and collateral materials to promote their grassroots mission of organizing voters around the country. The theme they requested for the new identity was “People coming together to create a whole”.
The Logo
CCP wanted its new identity to say politics but not in an overt way. Because
CCP is an online grassroots campaign, they wanted the flexibility to highlight
different aspects of their mission and not get pegged within the political
arena. To solve this, we created an abstract representation of a star composed
of numerous dots that join together to create a unified image. We used distinctly
non-political colors (no red, white and blue here) to convey CCP’s role
as non-partisan community organizers.
