Make Me Susutainable
Make Me Sustainable (MMS) is an online social networking site with an integrated carbon footprint calculator and manager. The site encourages users to track their carbon usage over a two year period and pledge to take actions that reducing energy usage.
MMS asked us to create a new brand identity for their company and develop their new site from the ground up. We helped the MMS team pick the right Web development platform for their application and we worked closely with their user-base to create the first online carbon calculator that offers social networking tools and features.
Developing a Facebook Application
A key strategy for driving users to the new MMS site was leveraging Facebook's
community of young users. We created an MMS application for the Facebook
platform that offers a slimed down featureset and an interface that feels
consistent with the new brand. Users create a new profile, invite their
friends and watch their carbon tree map out a simple graph of social
connections. The tree also aggregates all of the carbon reductions that
a user and their friends generate.
