Overlook Hospital Foundation
The Overlook Foundation is a planned giving foundation that supports the services and programs of the Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Overlook asked us for a website that’s easy to update in-house and serves as an outreach tool to their local community. Using an Open Source CMS as a basis for the site, we created a password protected section for the foundation's trustees and an online donation tool for the general public.
Defining a Foundation’s Mission
Overlook wanted a new website that highlights the foundation's mission and
underlines the role it plays in its local community, Summit, NJ. Overlook
found that too often, patients in Summit were looking to hospitals in nearby
New York City for expert care and ignoring the equally respected hospital
resources that Overlook offers. To solve this, we created a new site that
focuses on the theme of "World Class Care". The site tells a series
of stories about Overlook Hospital’s resources by highlighting specific
individuals the hospitals has served in recent years. This approach allows
viewers to see themselves within Overlook’s mission and strengthens Overlook’s
connection to its community and to the people it serves.
