Designing ZocDoc
ZocDoc is an online service that lets consumers find, search and book dentist
and doctor appointments. ZocDoc contacted us to help them build a quick
proof of concept for their initial venture capital fundraising. Little did
they know that two weeks after we started the project they'd be selected
out of 700 applicants to participate in TechCrunch20 - 2007. That meant
we had to get a functional user interface for a complex application up and
running in less than a month AND it had to meet the scrutiny of Silicon
Valley's best VC's and media experts.
Rapid User Interface Design
We quickly helped ZocDoc's founders establish a simple and flexible look
and feel that wouldn't bog down a rapid programming release. We stuck with
a basic color scheme and spent a lot of energy making sure the site's design
was usable and intuitive. The site launched successfully and garnered positive
reviews from TechCrunch20's panel of expert judges.
